The 2023 Formula One season saw a thrilling conclusion, with Max Verstappen clinching his second consecutive championship title. But away from the track, another exciting competition was taking place: the DHL Fastest Pit Stop Trophy Design Competition.

This annual competition invites fans to submit their designs for the prestigious trophy awarded to the team with the fastest pit stops in F1. This year, the winner was aspiring creator Amit Mithkar, whose innovative and eye-catching design impressed the judges.

Mithkar's winning design featured a 3D soundwave, created from a recording of the iconic team radio moments during a pit stop. The intricate design not only captured the essence of speed and precision but also paid homage to the vital role communication plays in achieving the perfect pit stop.

The resulting physical trophy is a true work of art. Crafted from silver and gold, the trophy perfectly captures the soundwave design, with the different heights and curves creating a dynamic visual effect. It's a unique and fitting tribute to the skill and teamwork required to achieve the fastest pit stops in F1, like McLaren's insane world-record-breaking 1.80-second effort this season.

In addition to winning the design competition, Mithkar also had the honour of presenting the trophy to the winning team: Red Bull Racing.

The hottest team in F1 lived up to their reputation for lightning-fast pit stops throughout the 2023 season. They consistently recorded the fastest times and ultimately secured the DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award for the sixth year in a row.

With the 2024 season just around the corner, the competition for the DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award is sure to be intense. Fans will be eager to see if Red Bull Racing can continue their dominance or if another team will emerge as the pit stop kings.
