  • Toyota's five Snowhunter concepts cover the Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner, Land Cruiser and Sequoia.
  • Each combines snow tracks with bespoke camouflage, additional lighting and equipment for carrying outdoor gear.
  • The Tundra's concept rack has an articulating upper section that lowers to make loading easier.

Toyota has fitted snow tracks to five of its body-on-frame utes and SUVs for the 2026 SEMA show. Called Snowhunter, the concept family turns the Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner, Land Cruiser and Sequoia into heavily equipped winter adventure vehicles.

The shared look comes from CALTY Design Research in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Bespoke camouflage and Snowhunter badging cover the bodies, with gloss-black detailing, white powder-coated tracks and Rigid lighting across the family. Toyota Genuine Parts and TRD lift components form part of the builds.

A rack that comes down to meet you

The Tundra carries the Toyota TrailLift Pro Rack System Concept, developed by CALTY. Its configurable bed storage holds outdoor equipment, while an articulating upper rack lowers to make loading bikes, kayaks and canoes easier. TRD rear billet control arms and Predator Step equipment also appear on the ute.

The Tacoma takes a different approach to its load space. A roof rack and full bed rack carry MOLLE accessory panels, an awning and cargo storage, with recovery gear and bed lighting completing its equipment list.

Three SUVs, three equipment lists

Toyota has given the 4Runner rock rails and a Prinsu roof rack with accessory panels and a Thule Pulse 2 cargo box. The Land Cruiser pairs its rock rails and skid plates with a Prinsu rack and Thule SnowPack ski carrier.

The larger Sequoia gets a TRD front skid plate, cast-aluminium running boards and a Prinsu rack carrying another Thule Pulse 2 box.

Toyota describes the Snowhunters as special-project prototypes. Its modifications include parts not available from Toyota, and the vehicles may not be street legal; there is no production kit, price or launch timing to go with the display. Toyota has also released no track-performance figures for the concepts.
