Kilometres travelled

75,000 - 100,000 km

Did you buy this car new or used?

New

How much did you pay? (including all on-road costs)

35000

What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

I had brought a VW EOS (Coupe Convertible) for my Wife , but she found the rear vision when reversing poor and wanted a car with better all round visibilty, and more seats . My wife loves it.

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

A very nicely built car , All the controls are easy to see and use and everything is logically set out. It drove very well , quiet and smooth

What have you discovered since owning the car?

The fuel economy is very good, only downside is that you must use 98 octane. Performance even when 4 up is quite acceptable.

What do you like/dislike about the car?

Having to replace the Water Pump (very expensive) and the Heater Blower Motor at 85,000 km was very dissapointing to say the least.

Any other comments on the car?

Like all European cars you cannot skimp on the servicing , find a mechanic that speacialises in VW's and make him your friend.

Lastly, would you buy this vehicle again?

Yes

Why would/wouldn't you buy it again?

I would buy the 2.0 TSI better perfomance with no real additional Fuel costs , also the 2.0 Engine is very long lived.
