Subaru of New Zealand has announced the return of the BRZ sports car with a limited run of 10 BRZ tS models, arriving in April 2025.
The new limited run of BRZs follows in the footsteps of the original car, which was only briefly sold here in a limited run of just 12 when the model first launched in 2012 alongside its far more widely available Toyota 86 twin.
The BRZ will only be available in top tS specification level and will be exclusively available in WR Blue with a six-speed manual transmission, much like the recently launched Subaru WRX Todoroki limited edition.
The BRZ tS features STI-tuned front and rear suspension dampers, and high-performance Brembo brakes withgold-painted four-piston front calipers and two-piston rear calipers, and larger pads and rotors to enhance stopping power and pedal feel.
External features include front and rear tS badging and a red BRZ logo in the front headlights, while crystal black silica door mirrors and a shark fin antenna accentuate the BRZ tS’s profile. The tS rides on bespoke 18-inch dark gray metallic alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot 4 tires.
The interior features a Bordeaux and black Ultrasuede and leather-accented interior with STI-embossed front seats. The cabin also features an STI red push-start button and an instrument cluster that bears the STI logo and Bordeaux highlights. Each of the 10 vehicles will include a numbered presentation key box.
The BRZ tS will come standard with Subaru’s EyeSight Driver Assist technology. This technology suite includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane sway warning, lead vehicle start alert, pre-collision braking, pre-collision brake assist, and brake light recognition.
