Hedley Studios (formely known as The Little Car Company) has created a one-off Bentley Blower Jnr for actor Jason Momoa. The commission features in the second season of Momoa's documentary series On The Roam (streaming in New Zealand on Neon), following his visit to the company's Bicester, UK headquarters. You can catch a glimpse of him driving a Blower Jnr in the trailer below.
Hedley's core business is creating hand-built, electric, scaled reinterpretations of iconic cars. It works through official partnerships with heritage brands including Bentley, Bugatti and Ferrari and decribes its vehicles as "road-legal and estate-use models that celebrate automotive heritage in a new form".
The Hedley Studios Bentley Blower Jnr is an 85% scale recreation of the 1929 Bentley 4 1/2 Litre Supercharged. It's powered by a 15kW electric motor and can cover 105km between charges. It's fully road-legal in the UK, EU and the US.
Get Momoa on the Blower: 100 bespoke parts
Momoa’s Bentley Blower Jnr has been developed with more than 100 bespoke or specially created elements.
The body is finished in Momoa Crimson, a dark red created specifically for the project. It is paired with aged brass detailing across the bodywork, including brass fenders and wheel arches treated to develop a natural patina over time.
The dashboard is crafted from Koa wood, native to Hawaii where Momoa was born, and long associated with surfboards, instruments and traditional craft. The radiator and personal number plate carry a “666” badge in tribute to his grandfather, who was nicknamed “El Diablo”. Inside, there's a “Momoa 1 of 1” nameplate.
One of the most distinctive elements is the hand-carved skull drive selector, created from a solid block of brass and requiring more than 100 hours of hand-finishing. The steering wheel also carries the On The Roam logo, a symbol shared by Momoa and his creative team as tattoos.
The Hedley Studios episode of On the Roam (season two) dropped in the US on June 4. It's yet to appear on NZ screens.
