There isn't much in this world more terrifying than fire. Not that you get any sense of fear or urgency in this — the latest video of a supercar lunching itself before spontaneously combusting in the middle of traffic.
The car in this case is a white Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, and the street is a crowded concrete canyon surrounded by apartment buildings in the middle of Seattle. The whole thing is caught on video by someone else's window on a nestcam.
The most surprising thing is just how calm and nonchalant the Lamborghini's two occupants are. Having hopped out of the car — flames now licking out of the engine bay — they stand to the side. Eventually someone passes them a fire extinguisher, which does nothing but pause the inevitable blaze; the owner throwing it on the ground in his first and only real showing of frustration.
By the time the fire service arrive on the scene the car's largely been gutted, with only the nose and frunk avoiding the chaos. You'd have to assume that the car is thoroughly insured, given the demeanor of the occupants. You'd certainly hope as much...
