Porsche New Zealand has launched a destination charging network in the country, enabling its EV and hybrid customers to enjoy seamless charging across the archipelago.

The company has already rolled out the first few chargers, with the QT Auckland hotel receiving four 11-kW AC chargers and the Rydges Formosa Golf Resort Auckland getting two higher-powered 22-kW AC chargers.

“It is exciting to launch the first batch of Destination Charging Locations across the country, and we look forward to seeing the network grow. We know our customers are busy people, so we are focusing on selecting destinations where people spend extended period of time. Destination Charging offers our customers an opportunity re-charge their electric vehicle in a fast and convenient way," said Greg Clarke, General Manager of Porsche New Zealand.

Porsche says in addition to its new destination charging network, it also has high-power DC chargers available at all four Porsche Centres in the country. Giltrap Porsche and Archibalds Porsche also boast 175-kW chargers.

There's no word yet on future expansion, but we reckon Porsche is keen on equipping more high-traffic locations with convenient EV charging stations.
