Swedish electric performance car brand Polestar has introduced an exclusive Arctic Circle collection, showcasing rally-inspired models built for extreme winter conditions.
With this new collection, Polestar expands on its Arctic Circle concept - first demonstrated with the Polestar 2 in 2022 - to include the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4.
These vehicles reflect the brand’s motorsport heritage and Scandinavian design ethos. The trio will debut at the 2025 FAT Ice Race in Zell am See, Austria, on February 1st.
Polestar CEO Michael Lohscheller commented, “The Arctic Circle collection illustrates our unique performance DNA, rooted in motorsport and combined with Scandinavian design. At the FAT Ice Race, we’ll showcase that on ice, there is nothing better than a Polestar.”
Winter-bred performance

Developed under Arctic Circle conditions at Polestar’s R&D facility in northern Sweden, each car features rally-focused enhancements.
Adjustable Ohlins dampers, which allow precise tuning for compression and rebound through external gas reservoirs, enhance stability and control for driving on unpredictable terrain.
Specialised Pirelli Scorpion tyres, fitted with hundreds of 4mm studs, deliver superior traction for ice driving.
In terms of power, the Polestar 2 Arctic Circle maintains its sharp handling and rapid acceleration, offering 350kW of output and 680Nm of torque.

The Polestar 3 builds on this with an increased powertrain capable of 380kW and 910Nm, making it a formidable winter SUV.
At the pinnacle of the line-up, the Polestar 4 pushes out 400kW and 686Nm, combining high-endurance capabilities with thrilling speed.
To complement these engineering advancements, Polestar has fine-tuned the ride height of each model.

The Polestar 3’s suspension is elevated by 40mm for maximum ground clearance, while the Polestar 2 and Polestar 4 sit higher by 30mm and 20mm, respectively.
Additional rally-grade features, including strut braces and mud flaps, reinforce stability and durability during demanding ice events.
Rally-ready features

Each vehicle in the Arctic Circle collection features rally-inspired upgrades designed to stand out both on and off the ice.
The Polestar 2 Arctic Circle includes a paddle-operated launch control system for swift take-offs on slippery surfaces, ensuring maximum grip even under extreme conditions.
The Polestar 3 is equipped with a powerful roof light bar, providing unmatched visibility in low-light, snowy environments.

For the Polestar 4, a drift-ready hydraulic handbrake adds an extra layer of agility, making it particularly suited to sharp cornering on ice tracks.
Beyond these core upgrades, all three vehicles feature distinctive accessories, such as Recaro bucket seats for improved driver support, Swedish gold tow hooks for added functionality and custom roof-mounted equipment, including ski racks and storage solutions.
As Polestar's new Artic Circle collection makes its debut, it highlights how Swedish engineering can shine in the most extreme conditions.
