As part of an end-of-year offer, the Omoda E5 EX is currently priced at $44,990 plus on-road costs, reflecting a $10,000 discount.
Equipped with a 61 kWh lithium iron-phosphate battery, the vehicle offers a competitive 430km WLTP-certified range. Its fast-charging capabilities allow the battery to go from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes, catering to the growing demand for efficient charging solutions.
Another model in the range, the Omoda E5 BX, is also available at a discounted price of $40,990, representing a $7000 reduction. These aggressive pricing strategies position Omoda Jaecoo as a formidable contender in New Zealand’s EV market.
The expo highlighted the increasing popularity of EVs in New Zealand, with 78,000 electric vehicles sold between January and October 2024.
The infrastructure is also keeping pace, with 1248 public charging units now operational across the country. As a result, electric vehicles are quickly becoming a preferred choice for Kiwi drivers.
