- Roadster Aluminium trolley gains new black colour alongside silver.
- First-time customisation includes handles, wheels and leather tag options.
- Design and construction draw inspiration from the Porsche 911 Targa.
Porsche Design is expanding its Roadster Aluminium luggage range with a new black finish, and, for the first time, a proper dose of personalisation.
The latest version joins the existing silver model, bringing a darker, more understated look to the aluminium trolley line while staying true to the brand’s pared-back design philosophy.
But the bigger story isn’t the colour, it's the ability to tailor key elements, much like configuring a car.
Inspired by a 911 classic

The Roadster Aluminium series takes its cues from the 911 Targa, specifically the iconic brushed aluminium roll bar introduced in 1965.
That influence shows up in the construction. The trolley’s front and rear panels are stamped and mounted onto a stabilising frame, creating a clean surface without visible rivets or traditional corner joints.
It’s a subtle nod to automotive manufacturing techniques, applied to something far more airport-friendly.
Built to travel, designed to last

Functionally, the formula remains familiar.
A multi-stage telescopic handle sits flush when retracted, while an integrated TSA lock is factory-set to “911”, a detail enthusiasts will appreciate. Inside, the layout includes dividers, cross straps and a packing plate, plus a foldable bag for added storage.
The trolley is available in three sizes, from cabin-friendly S to larger checked-luggage formats, all constructed from high-quality aluminium.
Personalisation takes centre stage

Where things get more interesting is in the customisation options.
Buyers can now specify leather handles, a detachable leather name tag and even the wheels, all available in six colours, including Carmine Red and Cognac, inspired by Porsche’s own palette.
The wheels themselves are more than decorative. Designed with precision ball bearings and styled after Porsche Carrera Classic rims, they’re built to deliver smooth movement as well as visual flair.
Even the name tag can be personalised with embossed initials, adding another layer of individuality.
A familiar philosophy

The approach mirrors Porsche Design’s broader ethos, taking the core ideas behind its cars and applying them elsewhere.
Here, that means combining precision engineering, clean design and a degree of personal expression, all in something you’ll wheel through an airport rather than a racetrack.
It’s not quite a 911. But in typical Porsche fashion, it’s been treated like one.
