New GT3 S/C chronograph is built to match the car.

  • Porsche Chronograph 911 GT3 S/C is exclusive to buyers of the matching car.
  • Features titanium case, COSC-certified movement and flyback function.
  • Design mirrors the car, with custom colours and wheel-inspired rotor.

Porsche Design has unveiled a new pair of chronographs to match the new 911 GT3 S/C, but there’s a catch. You can’t just walk in and buy one.

The Chronograph 911 GT3 S/C and its Street Style sibling are available exclusively to buyers of the corresponding cars, tying the timepiece directly to the vehicle it mirrors.

It’s a familiar Porsche move, but here the link goes deeper than branding. The watch and car have been developed in parallel, sharing design cues, materials and even visual details.

Motorsport DNA, scaled down

At the core is Porsche’s lightweight philosophy.

The 42mm case is made from titanium, either glass bead-blasted or coated in black titanium carbide, echoing the GT3’s focus on weight reduction without sacrificing strength.

Inside sits the Porsche Design Werk 01.200 movement, a COSC-certified chronograph with flyback function, allowing timing to be reset and restarted instantly.

Design elements are pulled straight from the car. The dial features a hexagonal pattern inspired by the GT3’s air intakes, while the rotor on the back mimics the wheel design, available in finishes that match the car’s rims.

Even the colour ring around the dial can be specified to match the exterior paint, including shades from Porsche’s Paint to Sample programme.

Built around the owner

Personalisation is a major part of the appeal.

Straps are made from genuine Porsche vehicle leather, with stitching and colours aligned to the interior configuration.

Buyers can also opt for a titanium bracelet or add a “GT3” embossing for a more explicit link to the car.

Street Style versions take things further, with exclusive detailing such as Pyro Red accents carried over from the matching car package.

A matching set, delivered together

Each watch is built to order and delivered in a limited-edition presentation box, complete with personalised engraving linked to the vehicle.

Pricing starts at €10,250 (over NZ$20K), placing it firmly in high-end territory, but for GT3 buyers, that’s likely part of the point.

More than a souvenir

Porsche describes the pairing as inseparable, or two expressions of the same idea.

The GT3 S/C itself is pitched as a lightweight, high-revving, manual-focused driver’s car, and the chronograph follows suit: precise, mechanical and built with a clear purpose.

It might not make you any faster, but as a reminder of what’s sitting in the garage, it’s about as close as you’ll get without turning the key.
