Newstalk ZB's Mike Hosking and Glenn Hart recently spent a day doing the BMW Driving Experience at Hampton Downs racetrack.
The course "aims to give owners an active and dynamic drive experience that provides enjoyment, education and entertainment in a controlled and safe environment."
The course covers everything from essential driving skills to advance competency levels, whether it is avoiding an obstacle on a wet road, gaining valuable off-road experience away from the highway, or perfecting the ideal line on a racing circuit.
The aim of the course is to ensure that after each training session drivers will have their vehicle, and themselves, under better control than beforehand.
