The iconic Hoonitruck, famously driven by Ken Block in Gymkhana Ten and Climbkhana Two, is headed for the auction block at the Barrett-Jackson's Scottsdale event in January 2025.
This is no replica or tribute - it's the very same custom-built 1977 Ford F-150 that Block himself drove in some of his most daring stunts.
Every detail of the Hoonitruck, from its custom chassis to its striking fender flares, was engineered to deliver exceptional control and capability. The cutaway bed and rear spoiler amplify its visual drama, while custom Fifteen52 wheels, equipped with functional beadlock capability, anchor its four corners.
Beneath the bonnet, a heavily reworked twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 takes centre stage—a powerplant that played a pivotal role during the Ford GT supercar's development phase.
Producing a staggering 682kW, this powerplant is paired with a sequential gearbox and an advanced four-wheel-drive system. Its distinct turbochargers and Ford-designed 3D-printed intake are proudly showcased through hood cutouts.
For Block, the Hoonitruck was more than just a high-performance machine - it was a heartfelt nod to his childhood and family memories. Inspired by the truck his father owned during his childhood, it was the same model in which he performed his first burnout and jump.
The Hoonitruck made its on-screen debut in Gymkhana Ten with Block carving up Route 66 and later showcased its capabilities during an exhilarating climb up Tianmen Mountain in China. As it heads to auction, anticipation is high, with no official price guidance released.
However, given Ken Block's legendary status and the ute's cultural significance, it’s expected to fetch a significant sum.
Prospective bidders can join the action either in person or remotely during Barrett-Jackson's Scottsdale event, scheduled for 18-26 January 2025. This is a rare opportunity to own not just a vehicle, but a tangible piece of motorsport history.
