Alonso had some trouble with his new Valkyrie hypercar.

Fernando Alonso, two-time Formula One World Champion and current Aston Martin driver, has just taken delivery of his very own Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar.

This isn't just any Valkyrie though, it's a bespoke masterpiece, personalised by Alonso in collaboration with Aston Martin's Q division.

F1-inspired design and performance

The car takes inspiration from Alonso's AMR24 Formula One race car, sporting a striking Satin Aston Martin Racing Green paint job with contrasting AMR Satin Lime graphics.

The giant venturi tunnels at the rear are adorned with Speed Red, Light Blue and Dark Blue accents, and there's also a bespoke 'CAUTION HOT' graphic hidden somewhere.

Under the bonnet, the Valkyrie boasts a monstrous 850kW V12 engine, a powerhouse that's sure to deliver mind-bending performance.

The interior is just as impressive, with exposed carbon fibre elements, black Alcantara upholstery with lime stitching, and Alonso's logo embroidered into the headrests.

There's even a rumoured red anodised aluminium accelerator pedal etched with Alonso's race number, 14, though Aston Martin hasn't released any photos of this yet.

Alonso's excitement and early hiccups

Alonso himself is clearly thrilled with his new acquisition. "It's hard to put into words how much I have been looking forward to this day," he said.

"To sit at the wheel of my own Valkyrie; one that I have worked on designing so closely with the team at Q by Aston Martin is certainly a day to remember. Valkyrie truly is an F1 car for the road, with so much of the knowledge and technology taken from all the experience Aston Martin has on track and I can't wait to hit the road."

Despite the excitement, Alonso's first experience with the Valkyrie wasn't entirely smooth sailing.

Videos have surfaced on social media showing the car broken down in Monaco shortly after delivery. Hopefully, this was just a minor teething issue and won't detract from Alonso's enjoyment of this incredible machine.
