A commission with a V8
Karma has unveiled the first creation from its Eximius bespoke programme, a four-seat track car with a planned 6.2-litre V8 plug-in series hybrid powertrain and an output target of nearly 895kW.
Called Eximius 1, the car made its premiere at the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas on 31 October. Development continues with the unnamed client who commissioned it, with delivery scheduled for 2027.
The Eximius programme allows customers to work with Karma's designers and engineers on changes to a vehicle's body, performance and powertrain. Each commission will be a one-off that the manufacturer says it will not repeat.
Track hardware and wider arches
Karma quotes a 0–97km/h acceleration target of 2.7 seconds and an estimated top speed above 322km/h for the finished Eximius 1. Those figures describe the car it intends to deliver, with development still under way.

Its proposed chassis specification includes carbon-ceramic brakes with two-piece slotted rotors and Öhlins semi-active suspension. Centre-lock magnesium wheels measure 21 inches, while wheelarch extensions add 50mm to the car's width.
The Borealis Blue paint fades into glossy exposed carbon fibre on the front doors and bonnet. A front splitter, bonnet vents and side openings accompany a full-width rear GT wing and diffuser. The wing also carries the angular lighting graphic used at the front of the car.
Four seats, one racing helmet
Inside, the front occupants get Recaro carbon-fibre bucket seats, trimmed with blue Alcantara and Italian leather with contrasting Moondust upper sections. Blue-tinted carbon fibre extends across the cabin, including the flat-bottom steering wheel and doors.

The carbon-fibre centre console groups the gear selector, window controls and key-fob holder with an emergency kill switch. It continues between the rear seats, where a matching strap secures the client's custom-fitted carbon-fibre racing helmet.
Karma has not disclosed the price of the commission.
