BMW M and BMW Motorrad have announced the "100 Jahre Nürburgring" special edition to mark the 100th anniversary of the legendary Nürburgring racetrace. The edition consists of six BMW M cars and three BMW Motorrad M bikes, paying tribute to a place that stands like no other for driving dynamics, precision, and performance.

BMW M cars included in the range are the M2, M3 Sedan, M3 Touring, M4 Coupé, M5 Sedan, and M5 Touring, while on the BMW Motorrad side, the M 1000 RR, M 1000 R, and M 1000 XR make up the unique bike offerings of the edition.

The special 'Nurburgring Green' paint has been developed exclusively for the limited run of cars and bikes.

All nine edition vehicles share a core set of visual elements led by a new Nürburgring Green paint finish that was developed exclusively for the limited edition, with Black Sapphire metallic available as an alternative.

BMW New Zealand has confirmed that the anniversary edition cars will be offered in New Zealand, it has yet to confirm actual models or allocations for our market.

Or you could be boring and go for black, but why would you do that?

Exterior highlights common to the car range include roof design stripes, green accents on the kidney grille frame surrounds and wheels, and graphic elements displaying the Nordschleife circuit silhouette, "100 Years" logo, and "Nürburgring since 1927" lettering. Inside, every vehicle receives black Nordschleife circuit embroidery on the front headrests.

While each cars shares common design elements, each model incorporates specific mechanical, structural, and visual features, with the M2 getting exclusive M carbon bucket seats and an M carbon roof with BMW M stripes, along with Styling 930 M wheels in high-gloss black, and door-only graphic placements.

The M3 Sedan gets an M carbon roof, while the M3 Touring sticks with a steel roof, and both ride on Styling 826 M wheels with Nürburgring Green accents, with exterior graphics positioned across the front doors, C-pillar, and rear side sections.

The Motorrad M bikes feature visible carbon, Alcantara look trim, black chassis components, and individual anniversary markings.

The M4 Coupé also gets an M carbon roof with design stripes and Styling 826 M wheels featuring green accents, as well as side graphics extending across the front doors, C-pillar, and rear side section.

Like the M3 twins, the M5 Sedan scores the carbon fibre roof  M5 Touring, while the Touring sticks with steel, and both feature Styling 951 M wheels with green accents and graphics on the front doors, C-pillar, and rear side section.

"The Nürburgring is much more than just a racetrack for us. It is a second home for BMW M; all our production vehicles are put through their paces on the Nordschleife," said Frank van Meel, CEO BMW M GmbH.

"With the Edition 100 Jahre Nürburgring, we celebrate our longstanding and successful relationship with the Nürburgring."
