I needed a wagon sized car capable of towing a car trailer. It has been superbly reliable and is serviced within Volvo guidelines at Volvo. It is comfortable and averages 10.8 litre per 100kms around town and down to 8.5 on a trip. All in all, a superb car.
What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.
I have had 4 of these models over the years. This is the of last 5 cylinder cars and is a great engine that makes a great sound when pushed. It has more than enough power.
What have you discovered since owning the car?
I really like Volvos. It has grunt, rides well, economic and spacious. Its shape doesnt date and model longevity is a feature I really like
What do you like/dislike about the car?
I like that its comfortable, reliable and does everything a car should. Nothing to dislike.
I have had 3 others like this model and an old brick Volvo from the early 80's Some better than others but all superior to Mercedes and BMWs I have owned.

Its a pity this model is no longer available.

Why would/wouldn't you buy it again?
Reliability, economy and comfort. It is big enough to carry a lot of miscellaneous stuff is capable of towing up to 1800kgs unbraked.
