How much did you pay? (including all on-road costs)

What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

To be able to tow my 6.5 mtr boat and have the ability to launch and retrieve the boat on slippery boat ramps. It's definitely ticked that box. Also the occasional cruise on the beach to go surfcasting or drone fishing. It's good too on our local state highway 35. Which is very similar to an off-road dirt track with huge pot holes, slips and washouts.

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

I brought it without even road testing it. Toyota brand in Gisborne is super popular and proven around this area. It's comfortable, and looks good.

What have you discovered since owning the car?

The paint can be a bit thin in places. And it's already worn through the paint where I drag my feet across the sill to get in.

What do you like/dislike about the car?

I like the 4wd capabilities. I like the look. I like the safety features that it has. The turbo is a little whiney, but that's how they are according to the Toyota franchise. I like that Toyota hold there value too
