Did you buy this car new or used?

Used

If used, what year did you buy it used?

2014

How much did you pay? (including all on-road costs)

$31,000

What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

Wanted a vehicle which was comfortable and would carry a fairly large load for work, with 4 wheel drive to allow it to cross farm land but not serious 4wd mud etc

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

Was exactly what was required. Spacious in the back and easily powerful enough for the level of towing that I do. Also not too tall , so easy to load and unload the roof rack

What have you discovered since owning the car?

Quite powerful and reasonably economical for size. Has been reliable - have done over 300000 km without major failure. Had a new rear strut at 310000km, a new radiator at about 250000, but very little else apart from normal servicing

What do you like/dislike about the car?

The doors will not stay open when opened - most cars have some sort of stay on them so that when you open the door it has not shut when you turn around to put something in the back seat area.

Any other comments on the car?

The six-cylinder is no longer made or I would buy a new one to replace this one. It is very reliable despite the high mileage, but starting to have a few rattles. It has a space saver spare wheel which I do not like but have never used in the 10 years I have had the car.

Lastly, would you buy this vehicle again?

Yes

Why would/wouldn't you buy it again?

They are no longer made, and the replacement is a turbo 4 cylinder which requires 96 octane petrol, making it more expensive to run.
