What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

I needed something to commute to and from work, 30 km each way,mainly motorway.The Qashqai was excellent for this as I also needed to travel for golf on the weekends,a 100 km round trip,carting golf gear for two.It did use a bit of fuel though,averaging around 8.5 l per 100 ks.Nice smooth,quiet ride.

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

I was quite keen on the look of the car in the showroom,seat comfort was very good,phone worked without a hitch and there was good storage for odds and ends.Luggage capacity was very good being the +2 version,an extra foot of floor space.

What have you discovered since owning the car?

The CVT trans took a bit of getting used to,but I found that feeding power on gently stopped the flaring,and performance was enough for my needs.The handling on winding roads was surprisingly good,as long as you kept within reasonable limits.

What do you like/dislike about the car?

I liked the easy,fuss free nature of the car,and the fact it was totally problem free for the 3 years,85000 ks that I owned it.I had it serviced on time at an independent garage for about $250 a time,the tyres were still legal after those k's and brake pads still ok,so cheap to run.

Any other comments on the car?

Not an exciting car,but a very good one for the money.

They are much dearer now,but I intend buying a new one soon.Reliability and ease of use are right up there with any other car in the price range.

We wanted to move a family with a newborn around, mostly around the city, but including on holiday. It's done that, though luggage capacity is often an issue with trips. What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you. Generally the car is pretty good. It has basics like a reversing camera and Bluetooth radio. It works well, it's reasonably large inside without being huge. What have you discovered since owning the car? It's larger than expected, difficult to park in smaller spots. Generally though it's fine and works well day to day. What do you like/dislike about the car? Cabin build quality is lower than expected. The stitching on the drivers seat came apart just outside warranty, which the dealer had Nissan fix, but it's come apart again a couple of years later which we'll have to pay to get fixed. The black plastic of the door handles and controls is starting to peal in places. All in all the quality hasn't impressed me. The app / mapping system is not useful at all. We use our phones with Bluetooth. We found its luggage capacity smaller thane expected. It looks like it would have a lot of capacity, but it take one large suitcase and maybe one small suitcase. If you have to take a baby buggy that's it, that plus small things, everything else has to go on the back seat. The engine and core mechanical parts seem reliable enough. It makes a loud squeaking noise from somewhere near the back every time we go over a judder bar or large bump. I like that it generally just works, with little hassle. Any other comments on the car? In terms of value I'd say it's average at best, because the cabin is starting to go downhill quickly we'll sell the car sooner than we otherwise would. I'd be wary buying another Nissan because of cabin build quality issues. No Why would/wouldn't you buy it again? I wouldn't buy one again. The cabin build quality issues are the main reason. It makes me wonder about the whole Nissan brand. I'd be more inclined to go for a Toyota / Honda, my 2003 Toyota is in better condition in many ways than the 2015 Nissan.

(including all on-road costs) $29,000 What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs? With serious back problems I needed a car with height in the door for getting in and out, as well as lumber adjustment. Also had to have vinyl seats so could slide in and out easily. Yes it has fulfilled all those things and as added bonus which is good for bad back is the heated seats. What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you. Didn't really want a black one but that was the only one available that wasn't brand new. It drover beautifully and is very comfortable. What have you discovered since owning the car? It feels luxurious to drive. Accidentally discovered the heated seats. it's many times more economical than our old Hyundai.Nothing else to date What do you like/dislike about the car? Dislike that its black and gets dirty very easily. Usually within just a day of washing it. Nothing else to dislike Any other comments on the car? This car was bought as our last car - to last us now for our retirement. Yes Why would/wouldn't you buy it again? Yes. It's proven to be a great car with many awesome features. Lumber support, ease of movement, heated seats, self defrosting.

Reliable vehicle that has enough space for my doors, had radio/phone controls in the steering wheel. yes fulfilled this need What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you. The car looked good with the after market mag wheels, but the size and features were what I was looking for. What have you discovered since owning the car? Reliable. Only issue would be needing all the cv boots replaced over the last 6 .5 years. No other mechanical issues. What do you like/dislike about the car? Size and reliability. Drives well. Dislike - the front seat feels like it dips slightly on the right size. All Dualis’ I test drove were like this. Have to be careful with the boot door handle as seen a lot where this has broken, so I treat it carefully. Tend to hit my head on the boot when open due to the internal panel on it.
