Did you buy this car new or used?

New

How much did you pay? (including all on-road costs)

$49,000

What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

Yes all good. I've driven 15000Km and used only about 270 litres of petrol. Still not sure what is the best way to drive it over a long journey and Mitsubishi unable, or unwilling, to say what is the best option. ( except, let the computer decide). For example, over say 4-5 hours of driving, if left to the computer, the petrol motor will swap over to the electric motor many times per hour. I prefer to save the charge on the battery and not have the petrol motor stopping every 5 -10 minutes. By overriding the computer, this means I manually swing back to EV battery maybe once or twice per hour. Mitsubishi NZ don't seem to really understand which is best for the long term performance of the battery, or the petrol motor. But all things considered it ticks all the boxes for me and my wife and if the EV battery lasts 10-12 years that will be great.

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

Not too big and not too small. Too many of the smaller SUV's have minimal room in the rear seats

What have you discovered since owning the car?

Radio not flash as it loses the signal very easy once out of Auckland! Fuel economy on a long drive a lot better than expected

What do you like/dislike about the car?

Connectivity for mobile phone pretty average. I like the fuel economy as we generally don't do more than 50KM's per day
