Kilometres travelled

25,000 - 50,000 km

Did you buy this car new or used?

New

How much did you pay? (including all on-road costs)

$50,990

What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

We were needing to do a lot of kilometres and petrol would have cost too much, the ev works great, plug it in each night on the cheap power rate, and it’s ready to go in the morning. V2L was also a consideration when buying, we have a lot of power cuts where I live, if this happens I can just plug essential equipment into the car.

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

This is my first ev and also by far the most expensive car I have ever bought. I was blown away by the torque and the way it feels. Silent and comfortable. It’s a joy to drive.

What have you discovered since owning the car?

On the highway the range stated is still pretty accurate. One thing I was surprised by was how much the temperature effects range - loses around 40km in winter and exceeds range in summer.

What do you like/dislike about the car?

I like everything about the car. Minor dislikes are the touchscreen quality(at least there are physical buttons) Apple CarPlay works great for directions and Spotify (voice recognition works mostly ok, especially if you put on an American accent!)

Any other comments on the car?

I’m really enjoying owning this car, have clocked up 34,000 kms, no issues so far. With 6 more years of warranty I’m feeling confident that I’ll enjoy it for a long time yet. Working towards solar panels on my house roof in the future, which will provide the ideal solution for transportation going forward.

Lastly, would you buy this vehicle again?

No

Why would/wouldn't you buy it again?

I am not sure I could afford it now. Without the rebate, and with ruc I don’t think I could make the numbers work. If I had enough money I would. Not saying that those incentives were right or wrong, just that personally I would not have been able to do it without them. It was still a massive investment.
