Did you buy this car new or used?

Used

If used, what year did you buy it used?

2016

How much did you pay? (including all on-road costs)

34600

What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

Something newer and a bit smaller than out 1999 Honda Odyssey. My wife likes a vehicle that is a bit higher off the ground, and a decent boot with level access (no lip). Oh, and coffee cup holders, and a red one. Yes, it has fulfilled all those needs bar one - I bought a white one

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

A solid refined car, very quiet and sure-footed on the road. Easy to drive and park, and with GPS built in, very convenient. Seats are very comfortable, rear leg room is great, boot is a good size, and the roller blind covering it is a stroke of genius. Felt a bit underpowered on the open road

What have you discovered since owning the car?

It has been a very pleasant experience. Nothing has gone wrong with it at all, in 7 years of ownership, apart from the wipers stopping suddenly! This turned out to be a dodgy connection in the fusebox under the bonnet, and a tap with a screwdriver handle fixed it. Servicing has been carried out as scheduled, and apart from wear and tear items, there have been no nasty surprises. Sure, the screen software is getting a bit slow and frumpy by modern standards, and I still find it underpowered on hills, where if you have cruise set to 95k, the engine can change down a few cogs and be doing close to 5000 rpm for brief periods. Needs a few more gears. But around town it is very refined, aircon is great. IMHO it's an attractive car from all angles. We tow a light trailer without any issues (apart from those hills). My wife has claimed the car, so I only get to drive it when we go out together.

What do you like/dislike about the car?

A bit underpowered, and the screen software is a bit slow but perfectly adequate. Getting the maps updated is free of charge under warranty but quite expensive after that - even under warranty the map upgrades still seem to be about a year or more behind reality. We didn't bother upgrading maps, as most changes in our area are to motorways etc, and its hard to get lost on those. We love the car so much, that I am seriously thinking of upgrading my car to a later model of the same vehicle (with either a 2.5 petrol or 2.2 diesel engine).

Any other comments on the car?

A very well put together and refined vehicle. At 7 years old it shows its age in some areas, but still an excellent vehicle to own

Lastly, would you buy this vehicle again?

Yes

Why would/wouldn't you buy it again?

I wouldn't buy this actual model again, but I would buy the later version with a bit more power under the bonnet.
