Did you buy this car new or used?

Used

If used, what year did you buy it used?

2021

How much did you pay? (including all on-road costs)

$14,000

What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

Up to 7 seats, large boot space, more fuel efficient than previous car (Mazda MPV)

Not quite as zippy and less boot space than MPV but still fun to drive and is much more fuel efficient. Flat-folding middle seats creates a bigger flat space than the MPV boot - easier to carry a bike inside.

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

I liked the sunroof and retracting wing mirrors, and the leather seats (come with the Mazda 5 version of the Premacy). Flat-folding seats a much better design than for MPV.

What have you discovered since owning the car?

Really love the flat-folding seats. Can seat 7 but is a squash - much less leg room than MPV. Love the auto-headlights and auto-wipers (standard with Mazda 5, not with the Premacy)

What do you like/dislike about the car?

Would like a bit more legroom in back seats, and a bit more grunt when towing.

Power-sliding doors sometimes malfunction - similar to MPV. Just need to close them and they reset.

Much lower ride height than the MPV. Had to put larger diameter tyres on to help stop it bottoming-out on my driveway.

Any other comments on the car?

Love it, would buy it again especially if it came as an EV.
