The amount collectors are willing to pay for 1980s and 1990s fast Fords continues to peak, with yet another Sierra RS500 Cosworth estimated to sell for more than £100,000 (NZ$190,000) at auction.
The 1987 model - number 38 out of 500 built - is the second souped-up Sierra expected to break the £100,000 mark in as little as two months after another sold for £112,500 (NZ$214,000) in May.
The car has an incredibly low 10,840 miles on the clock and has been kept in the same family since 1988. It's now being offered by the original owner's wife - who the car is registered to after his death - who wants to use the funds to purchase a retirement bungalow.
It's not the only Ford that is pitched to achieve an astronomical fee - a 1994 Escort RS Cosworth is also being tipped to go for £60,000 at an auction at the Silverstone race circuit from 21 to 22 July.
The Sierra Cosworth RS500's reputation has cemented it in the eyes of many as the hottest and most iconic of all fast Fords.
In recent years the demand for them has gone into a different stratosphere, with auction figures reaching uncharted heights as collectors scramble to get their hands on the best examples that have managed to avoid the scrapheap.
The record fee paid for an RS500 Cossie currently sits at £114,750 (excluding auction fees) for an example that changed hands last year.
Another example — chassis 451 with just 12,000 miles on the clock — came within a whisker of that at a Silverstone Auctions sale in May.
It was offered alongside the first of the limited edition cars, chassis 001, which didn't reach an accepted figure - though if it had would have undoubtedly set a new record if it had sold.
The car up for auction is one of 392 models finished in black (like the most expensive version sold on record), which was the intention for all 500 built by Aston Martin in Tickford before the decision was made to create 56 white examples and 52 in Moonstone Blue.
It was first registered on the 26th August 1987 and purchased by farmer Mr R Wagstaff on the 19th February 1988 to compliment the 1987 Ford Escort RS Turbo he already had.
The car was briefly registered in his brother-in-law's name in 1993 and then returned to the ownership of his widow in 1994.
Silverstone Auctions, which is yet again responsible for offering one of these cars to the market - says it has been 'used sparingly by the family' and comes complete with service stamps verifying the 10,817 mile recorded during its last service in May 2010.
The car will be fully serviced and MoT'd before the sale, as well as professionally detailed.
