Needed a roomy car to comfortably carry our family of 6. Has plenty of boot space for trips away down the island to stay with family. The Carnival has plenty of power and good looks.
What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.
I wanted an AWD, but this car was nearly new and seemed a good deal, which it was. This is the top of the range model, has all the bells and whistles. 360 degree camera. Adaptive cruise which comes right to a stop if the car in front stops, this all with out you braking at all.
What have you discovered since owning the car?
What I discovered about owning this car was how good Kia cars are. I had several Chrysler Voyagers and a Ssangyong Stavic 4wd. The quality of the Kia from front to back is right up there with the top marques
What do you like/dislike about the car?
There are 2 dislikes. The headrests are too close to your head. The wing mirrors automatically tilt down to the ground when you reverse, meaning you need to manually need to adjust them back to see where you are reversing. I prefer using them to the camera/screen. Needs a setting to override it. I like the economy I like the comfort and ease of entry. I have a bad back, had 2 lots of spine surgery and of all the cars in our wider family fleet, the Carnival has the most comfortable seats in my opinion.
Any other comments on the car?
Kia are very good at honouring warranty issues. There was a fault with the chrome on a batch of mag wheels, mine included. I complained about the look of them on the very first service after the first 3 years of free services was over. About 2 weeks after the service, the guy from the service department rang up to say he had 4 brand new mags for me. I was blown away.

Why would/wouldn't you buy it again?
Yes I would buy it again if size remains important. One other point that is always high on my "want" list is 4WD or AWD So I might look to another Kia model that is 4pawed.
