What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?
I needed an affordable upgrade to a budget Nissan Leaf in order to consolidate the household fleet to a single car. The Ioniq EV has done this admirably.
What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.
The Ioniq EV was the most value-for-money choice which had enough range for holiday road trips. It has a somewhat conventional styling and has physical buttons and stalks for the important functions such as indicators and HVAC.
What have you discovered since owning the car?
The battery may be small on paper, however it is one of the most energy-efficient EVs in the market which translates to shorter charging stops for the same distance travelled.
What do you like/dislike about the car?
Unlike other EV makes with their over-reliance on touchscreens, this is one of the most ordinary cars that I'd be confident lending out to grandma to go to the bingo hall with.
Any other comments on the car?
The Elite trim is much more rare, but it is worth the effort for the extra features. Or use that fact as a bargaining point when buying a base model.
