I wanted a vehicle that was economical, reliable, roomy for size, great after sales service so my needs have definitely be filled

As above and that it is a roomy well built and reliable vehicle and spacious for it's size and a great after sales service

What have you discovered since owning the car?

That i made a good choice and would definitely by the newer model which will be an improvement on the present one

Like everything about this vehicle as it has exceeded all my expectations in value for money ,reliability, economy, spaciousness and build quality

Honda Jazz Hybrid 2013

Has it fulfilled those needs? A smallish 5 door hatchback which drives nicely. The Honda Jazz has amazing usable space within a small wheelbase, and the Hybrid has proven to drive really well in both urban and open road situations. What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you. It drove better than the standard Jazz. The Jazz format with smart seats, slightly higher seating position and wide opening doors made it a better option than the VW Polo and Ford Fiesta we also test-drove when looking to purchase. The Mazda 2 disappointed (we were replacing our 2003 Mazda 2 which was an excellent car) as it was had not really developed from the previous model, other than getting smaller. What have you discovered since owning the car? While the hybrid system delivers better power than a 1300cc car should be able to achieve, fuel economy figures are not as low as the marketing would have us believe. But that was 10 years ago, before WLTP measures were introduced. What has particularly surprised is how competent the car is on the open road, with trips to the Coromandel Peninsula being despatched with aplomb. The Tardis like ability of the Jazz to swallow loads makes it a viable and economic option for travelling down country. What do you like/dislike about the car? The technology was not cutting edge for its time, with cabled USB connection for entertainment only, no Navigation or central screen. The eco features of the car do mean that air condition is not particularly effective in city traffic, when the engine stop/start negates aircon function. Smart seats are even better than expected. Any other comments on the car? It has been completely reliable, despite home servicing once the 3 year warrantly ended. Ideal size/format for our needs. Hybrid concept appeals for economy. Updated technology would improve appeal, but not at any price.

Wanted another reliable small car for 2 people that was roomy, economical (Hybrid) and affordable. Was keen on a Honda Jazz Crosstar Hybrid, as we do a lot of hiking (mild off road) but variant not available in NZ. We live in suburban AK. Purchased near new LUXE hybrid at a reasonable price after trading in old Fit. Very happy with purchase as met primary needs above. What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you. Looks - less sporty looking than the old Fit, but other benefits outweigh this 1. Magic back seats allow for plenty of room at the back. easy to adjust 2. Hybrid tech. economical. Don't have to worry about charging or range. 3. Price - within our budget range 4. Very low Mileage - 2300km 5. Excellent condition 6. New car warranty valid until 2027 7. Good experience with previous Honda Fit 8. Safety features, Air bags, Sensors. 9. Available in colour we wanted What have you discovered since owning the car? Economy is better than expected. After 6-7 weeks in (with normal use) nearly done 700-800km and still have a 3rd gas tank left. Hybrid battery is small, but constantly topped up. Charges faster in B drive mode. Takes a little while to get use to the petrol kicking in when it does. added noise / vibration, but car travel is still smooth. What do you like/dislike about the car? Likes The front windscreen view is excellent. Rubber Floor mats are worth the extra cash Finger touch unlock and auto locking on walkaway feature fantastic. Economy Magic seats Easy to park, Easy to drive Head room Leg room at back Dislikes On sunny days - gets warm inside very easily because of large front windscreen. Invest in a good sun shade. Has it fulfilled those needs? Small, roomy, environmentally friendly. This car is quiet and easy to drive with great visibility. Plenty of space inside for 4 people, highly recommend. Could not afford a fully electric car. What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you. Wanted a car that was more electric like but didn't give me any range anxiety. Had to be versatile in terms of space as we transport 2 foldable ebikes inside. What have you discovered since owning the car? Meets our expectations, occasionally the engine idles faster than expected but overall very smooth and economical. Easy to get in and out of. What do you like/dislike about the car? Almost nothing to dislike, would have liked a slightly bigger battery to gain more regenerative effect with Wellington hills. Easy to park and drive. Would prefer a full electric vehicle, this will fill the gap until BEVs become more affordable with better range and charging facilities.
