What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

I really needed to replace my hatchback ICE car and thought of a few SUV crossover options - Haval, Kia, etc., however, petrol price was also starting to be unreasonably expensive. I needed a new car with at least the latest technology, a comfortable and quiet drive in heavy traffic with soft music and a reasonable priced SUV crossover car. The BYD Atto 3 matched what i need.

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

I thought it was going to be a difficult transition from driving an ICE car to an EV, i was really anxious. I was not sure how I was going to cope with the new way of driving a vehicle. I was expecting an overwhelming experience of being on the driver seat; there are a few items in the Infotainment Screen, Centre Console, Instrument Panel that you need to be mindful of. However, once the vehicle settings are organised, it's just drive and go.

What have you discovered since owning the car?

You just need to tell the car what to do and it will do it! I was really amazed with the technology - ambient light, music equaliser, voice commands. It's like you have a computer on wheels.

What do you like/dislike about the car?

Likes - safety features - the Lithium-ion Phosphate battery - the structure/composition is different. - size - not too big, not too small (right size for me) - interior design - it's quirky, not traditional - it suits me well; love it - exterior design - it's simple but distinct - not too futuristic - it suits me well; love it - handling - drove it in all weather conditions - no problem - technology - voice commands, remote start; phone app, V2L, etc Dislike - warning sounds/alarms - sometimes i get startled; it think there's no volume control - but you'll get used to it

Lastly, would you buy this vehicle again?

Yes

Why would/wouldn't you buy it again?

Of course i will surely buy another one. I find it a reliable EV car with a very good support from the dealer and BYD team. I can't ask for more.
