What were your needs when you bought this car? Has it fulfilled those needs?

To replace my 2007 BMW 520i that was beginning to have computer faults and had become unreliable and a concern to me. Yes it has more than fulfilled my needs, the BMW 330e is a terrific drive with all the trappings, and the advantage of very low running costs.

What were your initial thoughts about the car? Tell us why it appealed to you.

I wanted another BMW to to downsize a from the 5 series that I have had three of over the past 25 years or so. I was looking at a BMW 330i 2016 and it was appealing but when I drove it it was too powerful, there's no way I needed a turbo-charged 3 litre ICE. So I test drove the 330e and was amazed at how a 2 litre turbo still had plenty of power, but for the first time I had ever driven an electric, I was immediately captivated by the silence, the torque. I knew I had to get the 330e.

What have you discovered since owning the car?

The BMW 330e is a very classy drive, I'm really enjoying it being familiar with my previous BMW's but a whole new experience having a PHEV.

What do you like/dislike about the car?

I like everything about the BMW 330e, except I would like a longer range battery. My petrol use, and costs have massively reduced, with an average 3.7 litres/100 kms and a range of ~1,200 kms between tank fills, which are half the price of my BMW 520i.

Any other comments on the car?

I will probably replace the 330e with another newer year 330e model when the km's get upto about 80-90k. I couldn't justify buying a new one, when I can get a low km's used import. It's terrific value for money imo, and has very low running costs while still being a luxury performance sedan. I love it.

Lastly, would you buy this vehicle again?

Yes

Why would/wouldn't you buy it again?

As I said earlier, the 330e is a luxury sedan with all the trappings, I'm very taken with the power and performance, but particularly the exceptionally low cost of running compared to my earlier BMW ICE cars. I would definitely buy it again, used, low km's.
