- Flagship showroom for Chinese luxury brand in Auckland opens September 25.

A new flagship showroom for Zeekr New Zealand will also provide the public further opportunity to view the seven Spotlight photographic artworks created by Taika Waititi in collaboration with the brand.
Giltrap Zeekr will open to the public at 137 Great North Road, Auckland on Friday 25 September 2026.
Spotlight will feature from opening day. Created at Auckland’s Studio West, the project uses the headlights of the Zeekr 7X as the sole light source across seven cinematic scenes.
The showroom opening is described by importer NordEast as the third "high profile moment" for Zeekr in NZ, after this year's Zeekr On Ice snow-driving experience in Central Otago and Spotlight.
Another attraction for the showroom opening will be a display of future Zeekr product that also featured on the snow, including the 9X and 8X luxury SUVs, 7GT wagon and the 001 FR - the latter not destined for sale in NZ but a hero model for the brand, with a quad-motor EV powertrain.
“This flagship location is a statement of intent for Zeekr in NZ," says NordEast group general manager Dane Fisher. It reflects the belief we have in the brand, the momentum we are building and the exciting products still to come."
The facility is described by the brand as "immersive" and features vehicle consultation and technology demonstrations, right through to delivery.
Giltrap Zeekr is located at 137 Great North Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland, and officially opens to the public on Friday 25 September 2026. Taika Waititi's Spotlight will be available to view via extended opening weekend hours through until 4.00pm, Sunday 27th September.
