This is one year when we can’t fly to Australia to soak up the Bathurst 1000 in person.
But Hampton Downs is offering the next best thing with its Bathurst 1000 Weekend on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October, featuring NZ’s own Bathurst legend Greg Murphy.
On Saturday (3pm-8.30pm) you can enjoy a hot lap with Murph in the Lamborghini Huracan, a 10-minute go-kart session and then head to the pavilion for a barbecue dinner while you watch the Top 10 Shootout on the big screen – again, with Murph as your host.
Sunday is race day (10am-Bathurst 1000 finish). It’ll start with the Hampton Downs Go Kart Grand Prix and Murph will be at the pavilion hosting the Great Race on the big screen all day.
Saturday is priced at $599 per person and it’s $329 for Sunday – or you can do both days for the discounted rate of $899 per person.
