Like it or not, video games are big business these days. Arguably bigger than the film industry, and now growing outwards through the advent of live streaming — gifting peanuts like you and I the ability to become content creators from home.

But there's good bits too. This is where the next generation of motoring enthusiasts are most likely to come from, making franchises like Forza Horizon an important component of the industry's future.

The fourth variant of the open-world Horizon franchise dropped in trailer form earlier today at E3, showcasing a new location, a raft of new cars, and a few other touches that gaming anoraks are sure to be fizzing over.

The biggest change compared to Horizon 3 is the change in location. Setting has shifted from Australia to Britain. That means plenty of tight, twisty roads, some iconic landmarks, and Britain's trademark garbage weather.

IGN's Luke Reilly describes the aesthetic as "a decade of Top Gear episodes brought to life." A great call.

Weather is probably the thing that Forza 4's developers have pushed hardest in the trailer; showcasing the game's ability to change the weather and terrain from sunny to muddy to snowing. 'Dynamic seasons' they call it.

In terms of vehicles, the McLaren Senna is the biggest star of the trailer. It's supported by a list of other Brit-centric cars including Jaguars, MGs, Minis and Aston Martins. A whopping great hovercraft also makes an appearance, for ... well, I'm not sure why actually.

There's also sheep, deer, and other wildlife in there. And no, you can't run them over.
