Hammond gives thumbs-up to new Mustang
He and his co-presenters, Jeremy Clarkson and James May, might be utnumbered when it comes to the number of presenters they're going up against when it comes to former show, Top Gear.
But if Richard Hammond was worried about battling for viewer ratings with the BBC when the trios new Amazon Prime shows hits screens, he didn't show it when he cruised through London on Thursday in the impressive new Ford Mustang

Clearly delighted to be behind the wheel of the brand-new 155mph muscle car, the 46-year-old presenter couldn't keep a smile off his face as he filmed a segment in the sporty motor.
Obviously sticking to their guns when it comes to the format of their new car show, Richard (affectionately known by fans as Hamster) and the crew chose to role the car through central London in a grand-standing way.
Accompanied by a police motorbike escort the crew filmed Richard revving and roaring his way through Westminster, and past the iconic Houses of Parliament.
Testing out the 2016 GT Coupe model, the presenter was treated to all the grunt and roar that the car's 5.0litre V8 engine could unleash.
Climbing into the car, which is the first generation of the iconic muscle car to come in right-hand drive, Richard could barely contain his glee.

Sporting his familiar long dark hair in a sweeping side-parting, the Birmingham-born presenter also sported a groomed beard.
And it's little wonder that Richard was so delighted, as the presenter has never been shy of admitting his 'love for the Stang' - especially on Top Gear.
However it looked as though the presenter was more than pleased with his latest test-drive, as according to AutoExpress.co.uk the car packs quite the punch.
Clearly keen to bring the spirit of its' petrol-guzzling, tire-burning predecessor's to European shores, the car has an astonishing 412bhp - while it squeals from 0-62mph in a blistering 4.8 seconds.
Leaving passers-by and the crew in no doubt what his feelings were towards the new GT model, Richard flashed a thumbs-up from the driving seat at one-point.
And if the announcement of the new-look Top Gear's new cast - which was announced only hours before hand - had affected him in anyway, the popular presenter didn't let it show.
Earlier in the day the BBC unveiled the full seven-person team due to host the new-look programme when it returns to screens in May.
As well as the previously-announced Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc, the new team includes former Formula One boss Eddie Jordan, German racing driver Sabine Schmitz, YouTube star Chris Harris and unheard-of technology journalist Rory Reid.
Fans went online commenting that the line-up suggests the show will be very different from its famously politically incorrect style under former hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.
Matt Williams wrote: 'See Top Gear made their new line up very PC by covering every base. Not like old Top Gear.'
And Daren Savage added: 'Nice to see the BBC Top Gear covering every politically incorrect angle with 6 new presenters, woman, black guy, old guy, ginger.'

After revealing Friends actor Matt LeBlanc would host the show last week, former Formula One boss Eddie Jordan was today named as another presenter.
As well as Evans, the new duo will join German racing driver Sabine Schmitz, YouTube star Chris Harris and relative-unknown Rory Reid.
And while the corporation's bosses will be hoping to retain the same smash-hit success of the previous line-up (made-up of Hammond, May and Clarkson) its former figure-heads will be giving the show a run for its money.
Following Jeremy's dismissal from the show - after his contract was not renewed following a now infamous scuffle with a producer - the outspoken journalist, Richard and James have all signed up to present a motoring show on Amazon's Prime streaming service.
And the show is shaping up to be a continuation of their winning-format on the old Top Gear, with the trio previously having been spotted driving a trio of hyper cars around a track in Spain - before Hammond's latest section in the new Stang.
