Ever looked at a Lamborghini Urus and thought, “Needs more armour”? California-based Rezvani has the answer.
The boutique builder’s new Knight SUV is a wild, military-inspired rework of the Italian super SUV, loaded with comic book swagger - and actual battlefield-grade protection.
Urus meets urban warfare
Based on the standard Lamborghini Urus, the Rezvani Knight keeps just enough of the original shape to give its origins away.
The tail lights, roofline and proportions are familiar, but the rest is all aggression: carbon-fibre body panels, hulking guards and an extended rear spoiler that nods to the LM002. A roof-mounted LED light bar and a pair of pod lamps on the bonnet round out the mad-max aesthetic.
It rides on 22-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch off-road tyres, and unlike past Rezvani models that leaned on American SUVs like the Cadillac Escalade and Jeep Wrangler, this is the brand’s first go at modifying an Italian base.
Gadgets worthy of Gotham
Buyers can spec the Knight with the optional Dark Knight Package, turning the already imposing SUV into an end-of-days command unit.
This includes bulletproof glass and body armour, underside blast protection, military-grade run-flats, and defensive countermeasures like smoke screens, strobe lights, sirens, and even pepper spray dispensers.
For those who take personal security very seriously (or just enjoy a good gadget list) there are electrified door handles, thermal night vision, gas masks and optional ballistic vests.
The interior is bespoke, with a choice of five Nappa leather seat patterns and customer-specific configurations.
Power and price: no subtlety here
Rezvani quotes a 0 to 100km/h time of just 3.0 seconds, thanks to a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 with up to 800kW - though the exact source or spec of this output isn’t detailed.
Rezvani has not disclosed the final kerb weight or whether the quoted carbon fibre body remains intact with the armour installed.
Pricing begins at US$159,000 (around NZ$267,000) for the Knight conversion, not including the donor Urus. Adding the full Dark Knight treatment? That’s extra. But with only 100 units to be built, exclusivity (and survivability) is part of the appeal.
