Porsche has unveiled the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade, a unique creation born from its Sonderwunsch customisation program.
This extraordinary electric vehicle (EV) pays homage to the vibrant spirit and innovation of Southeast Asia, blending cutting-edge technology with bespoke design elements and mythical symbolism.
The Celestial Jade's most striking feature is its world-first Chromaflair paintwork, a mesmerising blend of two effect paints that required a year of development and 80 hours of meticulous hand application.
The result is a captivating colour gradient that shifts and shimmers depending on the viewing angle, reflecting the multifaceted beauty of jade. The colour combination, 'Urban Bamboo' and 'Shifting Carbon', evokes both the natural serenity of jade and the pioneering spirit of Porsche's carbon fibre technology.
The Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade also features a specially designed logo inspired by "LongMa," a mythical creature symbolising power, strength, and good fortune. The logo graces various elements of the car, including the sill guards, door projectors and headrests, adding a layer of cultural significance to the design.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the Celestial Jade is based on the upgraded 2024 Taycan Turbo S, boasting impressive performance figures. With up to 560kW of peak power and launch control, it accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in a blistering 2.8 seconds. The car also benefits from the latest advancements in EV technology, offering increased power, range, charging speed and stability.
The interior of the Celestial Jade is equally exquisite, showcasing the premiere of the 'Leather to Sample' option for the Taycan. The cabin combines the standard Slate Grey with the bespoke Englishgreen option, creating an atmosphere of refined luxury.
The Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade represents a celebration of Southeast Asia's dynamic culture and its growing importance in the automotive world.
Following its world premiere in Singapore, the Celestial Jade will embark on a tour of Southeast Asia before being auctioned off for a charitable cause in 2025.
