MG Motor New Zealand has introduced the ZS Hybrid+, an all-new SUV designed to complement the existing ZS range, which includes the ZS, ZST and ZS EV.
This new hybrid version brings the best of both worlds - electric-like efficiency paired with the convenience of a petrol engine - to a segment already well-regarded for style and practicality.
Aimed at Kiwi drivers seeking eco-friendly options that don't compromise on performance or comfort, the ZS Hybrid+ offers an appealing alternative to pure combustion or electric options.
Hybrid efficiency
The ZS Hybrid+ operates on a newly engineered hybrid powertrain that combines a 75kW, 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 100kW electric motor, achieving a substantial total output of 158kW.
With a 1.83kWh NCM battery - one of the largest in this segment - the model achieves a commendable fuel consumption of 4.7L/100km.
Designed with a three-speed automatic transmission, the ZS Hybrid+ offers seamless power transitions across its Eco, Normal and Sport driving modes, delivering a versatile and refined drive.

Modern design
Reflecting MG’s latest design language, the ZS Hybrid+ includes a redesigned front grille, LED lighting and a refined rear spoiler, enhancing its visual appeal and road presence.
Inside, the cabin is equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment display and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
The pair of massive screens provide intuitive access to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MG’s iSMART app for remote functions.
With up to 1457L of cargo space when the rear seats are folded, this SUV is versatile enough for both daily commuting and weekend adventures.
Safety first
Safety remains a top priority for MG, and the ZS Hybrid+ comes with the MG Pilot Safety Suite, offering features such as autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, blind spot detection and adaptive cruise control.
An integrated 360-degree camera further aids visibility and safety, especially in urban settings. The premium Essence variant adds even more convenience with a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats and enhanced upholstery.

The ZS Hybrid+ is available in two trims: the Excite model starting at $36,990 and the high-spec Essence priced at $39,990. Both trims come with MG’s robust 10-year or 250,000 km warranty.
