- Mercedes-Benz will launch Microsoft Teams video call functionality with in-car camera support in the new CLA.
- MB.OS now integrates Microsoft Intune for secure access to business apps and enterprise-level data separation.
- Microsoft 365 Copilot will allow drivers to manage meetings, emails, and tasks via voice commands while driving.
Mercedes-Benz is redefining what it means to be productive on the move, rolling out a new suite of Microsoft-powered tools to bring the office into the driver’s seat, starting with the all-new CLA.
From in-car Teams video calls to on-the-go AI assistance, it’s clear the Stuttgart marque is aiming for more than just road presence.
At the centre of the upgrade is an enhanced Microsoft Teams app, integrated into the brand’s MB.OS platform. It’s a world-first in allowing use of the in-car camera during meetings - while driving.

Before your eyes widen, the stream is strictly one-way. Drivers can be seen by their colleagues, but in the name of safety, they won’t see any shared screens or presentations. The video feed cuts the moment the camera turns on, and can be manually disabled at any time.
The system also introduces a new “Next Meetings” dashboard, improved contact access, and a beefed-up chat interface. Voice input is on hand to reduce distraction, and users can leap from calendar to call in one tap - ideal for those whose offices often include traffic lights.
Work-safe, road-safe
Also baked into MB.OS is native support for Microsoft Intune. This allows drivers to securely toggle between personal and business apps, keeping data streams separate and IT departments happy.
Business users can now count on enterprise-grade security for their in-car apps, from MBUX Notes to integrated calendars, without lugging around extra hardware. The rollout is expected to begin in Europe and the US this summer.
Your AI assistant will see you now
In a further leap, Mercedes-Benz is teaming up with Microsoft to embed Microsoft 365 Copilot into its latest vehicles, making it one of the first manufacturers to do so.
The generative AI assistant promises hands-free help with daily tasks: summarising emails, prepping for meetings, even surfacing client info via voice command.
Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Board of Management, summed it up neatly: “By integrating the latest Microsoft workspace tools, such as Microsoft Teams, directly into our new operating system, MB.OS, we’ve created an intuitive and safe user experience that boosts efficiency and reduces distractions at the same time.”
A third workspace? With MB.OS in the picture, your car just might qualify.
