- Mercedes-Benz Group sold 2.16 million cars and vans in 2025.
- Mercedes-AMG deliveries rose 7% to 145,000, while G-Class hit 49,700 sales.
- Battery-electric vehicle sales rose 18% in Q4 versus Q3, driven by new electric CLA.
Mercedes-Benz has wrapped up 2025 with global sales of 2.16 million passenger cars and vans, leaning heavily on strong demand for its high-end models and a late-year surge in electric vehicle interest.
While overall volume dipped year-on-year, the final quarter proved the brand still knows how to finish strongly.
Fourth quarter deliveries reached 558,400 vehicles, making it the busiest three-month period of the year. That momentum was helped by growing interest in new electric models and continued appetite for performance and luxury flagships.
AMG and G-Class do the heavy lifting
If there’s one clear winner in Mercedes-Benz’s 2025 story, it’s the top end of the range. Mercedes-AMG recorded a 7% increase in customer deliveries, reaching 145,000 vehicles in one of the performance brand’s strongest years on record. The G-Class also enjoyed its best year ever, with 49,700 deliveries, up 23% and boosted by the arrival of its electric variant.
Top-end vehicles, including AMG, Maybach, G-Class and S-Class models, accounted for 268,000 sales, or 15% of total passenger car deliveries. That focus on high-margin vehicles continues to shape the company’s strategy.
Mercedes-Maybach also held firm, with every third S-Class sold globally wearing the Maybach badge. In China, that figure climbed to one in two.
Electric models gather pace
Battery-electric passenger car sales lifted 18% in the fourth quarter compared with Q3, driven largely by the new electric CLA. Across Europe, electrified vehicles including battery-electric and plug-in hybrids combined made up 4% of Mercedes-Benz Cars sales in 2025, the highest share the brand has recorded.
Customer demand for upcoming electric models is also strong. Orders for the electric CLA and newly revealed electric GLC are tracking well ahead of expectations, with order books stretching into the second half of 2026.
What’s next

Looking ahead, Mercedes-Benz is preparing one of the most aggressive product offensives in its history. Updates are coming for the S-Class, GLE and GLS, alongside launches of the electric C-Class, electric GLC and GLB, and the first AMG performance model based on the new AMG.EA electric architecture.
Vans remain part of the picture too, with electric van sales up 46% in 2025 and the new electric VLE set for its world premiere in March 2026.
Sales figures may be under pressure in some regions, but Mercedes-Benz is betting that luxury, performance and electrification remain a compelling combination.
