Mercedes-Benz is merging esports flair with automotive artistry as it unveils the League of Legends Mercedes-Benz CLA Art Piece: a one-off design inspired by the new Summoner’s Cup trophy for this year’s League of Legends World Championship.
Handcrafted and built on the bones of the new CLA, the art car kicks off Worlds 2025 with style, celebrating the passion of the gaming and esports community.
Co-created with League of Legends publisher Riot Games, the sculpture is part of Mercedes’ “Class of Creators” series or five bespoke interpretations of the CLA designed by creative collaborators across industries.
Summoner’s Cup meets Silver Star
The CLA Art Piece echoes the Summoner’s Cup’s visual DNA: a polished silver chrome finish offset by deep-blue sapphires and gold accents. Each detail is designed to mirror the prestige and drama of Worlds, from the engraved list of championship-winning teams (2011 to 2024) etched into the chassis to the gleaming trim celebrating the tournament’s new era.
Mercedes-Benz says the piece symbolises “the passion and dedication of the fans who make esports a global phenomenon.” In short: motoring’s luxury badge meeting gaming’s most coveted prize.
China plays host, Benz plays partner
The League of Legends World Championship 2025 will unfold across Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu from October 14 to November 9. As the official automotive partner, Mercedes-Benz will be in the spotlight throughout the event, bridging the gap between the digital and mechanical worlds.
In Mercedes’ words, the car is a “unique highlight” marking the start of Worlds 2025, and perhaps a glimpse into how the brand sees the next generation of car enthusiasts.
