Tech billionaire Mark Zuckerberg venturing into bespoke car design was not on our 2024 bingo card.
The Meta CEO has teamed up with renowned customisation shop West Coast Customs to create a one-of-a-kind Porsche Cayenne GT 'minivan' for his wife, Priscilla Chan.
Why? You may have to ask Zuck himself because we haven't a clue, either.
A stretch too far?

Zuckerberg's big idea to stretch a Porsche Cayenne Coupe into a minivan is a bold, if not slightly unnecessary reimagining of the luxury SUV segment.
Collaborating with West Coast Customs, he extended the wheelbase of the Cayenne and installed sliding doors, a feature more common in family minivans than high-performance SUVs.
The design changes didn’t stop there – the customised vehicle sports a lower stance, a larger rear spoiler and distinctive black alloy wheels with yellow brake callipers.
The project was built on the base of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, one of the most powerful iterations of the model. The stock version of this vehicle is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine, capable of producing up to 484kW.
While no performance upgrades have been confirmed for the minivan, the Turbo GT trim ensures that it’s far from an average family vehicle.
Minivan, meet supercar

Zuckerberg’s vision for a Porsche minivan didn’t stop with just one vehicle.
He also added a matching Porsche 911 GT3 Touring to his garage, completing the automotive collection at his California home.
The 911 GT3 Touring is known for its manual transmission and race-inspired performance, a stark contrast to the minivan's family-oriented modifications. Despite this, both cars showcase Zuckerberg’s fondness for Porsche's craftsmanship.
On his social media platforms Facebook and Instagram, Zuckerberg unveiled the bespoke Cayenne GT Minivan with a simple statement: “New side quest. Priscilla wanted a minivan, so I've been designing something I'm pretty sure should exist.”
Interestingly, Porsche has toyed with the concept of a minivan in the past, but the brand hasn't moved forward with a production model.
Mark Zuckerberg’s custom Porsche Cayenne GT 'minivan' is certainly a head-turner, for better or worse.
While many may not take a liking to his latest creation, it’s clear that Zuckerberg is more than happy to drive innovation, both in tech and on the road.
