- Mansory Azura converts the Mercedes-AMG G63 into a two-door convertible.
- The modified 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 produces 611kW and 1150Nm.
- Mansory claims the Azura can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 4.0 seconds.
Mansory has never been known for restraint, but the new Azura may be one of its boldest G-Class conversions yet.
Set to appear at Top Marques Monaco, the Azura takes a Mercedes-AMG G63 and transforms it into a two-door convertible with a shortened wheelbase, rear-hinged “suicide” doors and a white fabric roof. In other words, the kind of G-Wagen AMG itself would probably sketch once, laugh nervously, then lock in a drawer.
G-Class gets outrageous

Turning the G63 into a two-door soft-top is not a simple trim-package exercise.
Mansory has chopped the body, shortened the wheelbase and heavily reworked the side profile to suit the new layout.

The front doors are now rear-hinged, giving the Azura a more theatrical entry sequence, while the soft-top roof pushes it further away from anything resembling a factory G-Class.
The exterior treatment is exactly as shy as expected. The Azura wears flared wheel arches, a dramatic front fascia, a new grille, reshaped air intakes and angular LED daytime running lights. There are also new louvres on the front quarter panels, retractable side steps and oversized wheels finished to match the bodywork.
Welcome to the aquarium

The blue exterior is only the warm-up act. Inside, Mansory has gone deep into turquoise leather, covering the seats, dashboard, door panels and steering wheel.
Where there is not leather, there is exposed carbon fibre with blue flakes. Subtle? No. Memorable? Annoyingly, yes.
Big power, bigger personality

The Azura is not just a styling exercise. Mansory has also reworked the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with new turbochargers, downpipes, a custom exhaust and engine tuning.
The result is 611kW and 1150Nm, enough to send the soft-top G-Class from 0 to 100km/h in a claimed 4.0 seconds. That is serious pace for something shaped like a luxury garden shed and dressed like a swimming pool.

Mansory has not disclosed pricing, though a deep six-figure figure seems inevitable given the scale of the conversion and the brand’s usual clientele.
Whether the Azura is brilliant, absurd or both depends on personal tolerance for turquoise leather and public attention. Either way, it proves there is still no G-Class too sensible for Mansory to attack.
