Leapmotor’s latest electric SUV, the C10, has secured a full 5-star safety rating in Euro NCAP crash testing, meaning it also scores top marks in the localised ANCAP programme.
The latest accolade highlight the vehicle’s advanced engineering and commitment to occupant safety.
The C10 boasts a high-strength structural design that disperses collision energy effectively.

Leapmotor equipped its EV-SUV with a comprehensive suite of airbags, including front, side, curtain and a centre airbag between the front seats.
The C10 also prioritises safety without sacrificing efficiency or performance with robust active and passive safety systems.

Brian Carr, General Manager at Auto Distributors NZ, remarked, “Not only does this car provide high levels of technology, quality driver and passenger comfort, but is also now recognised for its safety with multiple 5-star ratings.”
A standout feature of the C10 is its 'Four-Leaf Clover' electronic architecture, an innovative system integrating critical vehicle domains through a centralised computing unit.
This architecture powers 17 driver-assistance functions, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance and automatic emergency braking, ensuring heightened reliability and responsiveness.

Additional safety technologies include electronic stability control, traction control, tyre pressure monitoring and 360-degree cameras, enhancing the overall driving experience.
As the first model from Leapmotor’s joint venture with Stellantis, the C10 marks a significant step in the brand’s global expansion. And with a starting price of $54,990, it offers a blend of safety, technology and affordability, catering to Kiwi families seeking a high-tech SUV.
