Jaguar’s radical EV concept makes its real-world debut.

Jaguar’s striking Type 00 Concept has made its first real-world appearance, navigating the streets of Paris in a bold new shade of French Ultramarine.

The fully electric concept, originally unveiled in polarising Miami Pink and London Blue, was driven under its own power before making a high-profile stop outside a Paris Fashion Week venue.

Captured on video, the futuristic two-door coupe showcased its silver-accented lower body and signature alloy wheels.

While the Type 00’s public debut turned heads, Jaguar’s Managing Director, Rawdon Glover, has shed new light on the brand’s first production model in its electric transformation.

Slated for a late 2025 launch, the upcoming four-door GT will channel the Type 00’s radical design into a luxury performance sedan.

Glover confirmed that the GT will push the limits of aerodynamics, performance and safety without sacrificing the distinctive styling that has divided opinions.

The new model is targeting an impressive 692km range and a peak output of 735kW, potentially delivering a thrilling driving experience.

Jaguar’s development team has drawn inspiration from the marque’s greatest hits, fine-tuning the EV’s dynamics to ensure it remains engaging on long drives. “Our goal is to create a car you can drive confidently at pace for extended periods and still come out feeling great,” Glover explained.

In testing at Jaguar’s Gaydon facility, the GT has already hit speeds of 258km/h. Glover, who personally pushed the prototype to its limits, described the experience as “stunning in terms of its speed, its acceleration, its performance, but also how it delivered the power with a real sense of character".

With Jaguar embracing an all-electric future, the Type 00’s bold design cues are set to influence the next era of the brand

Whether the upcoming GT can live up to its high expectations while silencing critics remains to be seen, but for now, Jaguar is making a statement - and the world is watching.
