Something to pop in the back of the Prado? Japanese tuner ESB Style has taken the humble Toyota Roomy mini-MPV and turned it into something that wants to be a Land Cruiser when it grows up.

The Landc Roomy went on show at last week's Tokyo Auto Salon, and for those who were inspired, there's good news: most of the bits are available off-the-shelf, so you could definitely create your own (or something close).
That goes for Kiwis, too. The Roomy has appeared as a used import in NZ and before you ask, it's not ridiculously small: with a 72kW 1.0-litre engine and overall length of 3.7m it's too large to qualify as a kei-car in Japan. Although it is still very, very small.
You might also know it as the Daihatsu Thor. Daihatsu is in fact the creator and builder of the Roomy, which is simply rebadged as a Toyota for Japan.

And yes, the ESB Style bits apparently fit the Daihatsu just fine, although it's not really on-brad with the Land Cruiser thing.
The redesigned bumpers and grille are clearly inspired by larger Land Cruisers such as the 300 series; the white steel wheels look the part and the Landc Roomy does actually have some extra ride height, with the suspension raised by 30mm. The Roomy is indeed available in 4WD form ex-factory, so you really could go off-road... sort of.
ESB has also added a foldable mat to turn the Landc Roomy into a camper, assuming you're short (or don't mind your feet hanging out the back.
