Tickets are now on sale for Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live's first-ever New Zealand shows.

The trucks glow, but feel free to wear some illuminated clothing yourself.

The so-called "Glow Show" is a stadium-sized event based on the best-selling toy brand, where life-sized versions of Hot Wheels trucks such as Bigfoot, Bone Shaker, Tiger Shark and Race Ace perform stunts such as fire-embellished wheelies, donuts and car-crushing jumps. And yes, the trucks glow.

The show hits Dunedin’s Forsyth Barr Stadium on 20 September, Sky Stadium in Wellington on 27 September and Eden Park on 4 October. A similar show has toured North America, Europe and Australia over the last six years

The event is sponsored by The Warehouse, which is Hot Wheels' biggest retailer in NZ: it sells one of the toys every 20 seconds. Some of the full-size Monster Trucks will also be displayed at selected stores during the tour, with dates and locations to be announced.

Not just a show... it's a stadium-sized show.

A new "Pre-Show Party" offers access to the arena floor to see the trucks up close and meet the drivers for autographs. Fans can also upgrade to the Legends Backstage VIP Experience for a guided behind-the-scenes tour, exclusive merchandise, and VIP entry to the Pre-Show Party. Passes are limited.

Show tickets go on general sale on Wednesday, 2 April, and start from $45, with special family ticket pricing available in all categories.
