Wild chase in New Jersey resembles scene from Grand Theft Auto games
New Jersey Police have released dramatic video of a Leonia police officer taking down a carjacker after he stole an Englewood Cliffs police cruiser.
The video shows an ever gathering array of police equipment chasing one of their own cruisers after it was stolen by carjacker, 22-year-old Sereymanta Kong.
An Englewood police officer tried to stop Kong from carjacking a woman’s car, who had pulled over after seeing Kong lying in the middle of the street.
The seven-minute long video begins on as Leonia Officer Erik Goodell picks up the chase in his police SUV.
Kong led officers over medians and lawns, through red lights, and into oncoming traffic before police rammed his vehicle to a halt just outside a Jeep dealership.
