- Ford NZ to hold its own mini-Rally on August 27.
Ford New Zealand and its nationwide dealer network are supporting the New Zealand Vintage Car Club's Daffodil Rally, involving communities from Northland to Otago to raise funds for the NZ Cancer Society.
The initiative will help support patient transport services, which help Kiwis facing a cancer diagnosis get to and from healthcare appointments. Dealerships are assisting in a variety of ways, from showroom vintage car displays and themed vehicles, donation drives, radio campaigns, community events and staff-led fundraising challenges.
"The Daffodil Rally is a highlight on the vintage motoring calendar, and it's a privilege for Ford NZ and our dealers to get in behind the Vintage Car Club and help the Cancer Society again this year," says Annaliese Atina, Ford NZ managing director.
"Our dealer partners have shown incredible generosity and creativity in how they're getting involved, and every dollar raised will go directly towards helping cancer patients get to the care they need."
Ford NZ will host its own Daffodil Rally fundraiser at its office at 650 Great South Road, Ellerslie, Auckland, on Thursday 27 August 2026.
Visitors and staff can make a donation to the Cancer Society in exchange for a ride in one of three very different Fords: two restored 1930 Model As or the current Mustang Dark Horse.
The NZ Cancer Society's patient transport service provides free rides to and from treatment for thousands of people each year. Funds raised through the Daffodil Rally and Ford's dealer initiatives will go directly towards keeping the service running for patients and their whānau.
Members of the public can visit their local participating Ford dealership throughout August to view the vintage vehicle displays, contribute to collection buckets and donation drives.
