- BMW's iX3 M60 xDrive has provisional outputs of 450kW and 875Nm from its two electric motors.
- BMW's provisional figures include up to 754km WLTP range and a maximum DC charging rate of 400kW.
- German orders open at the end of January 2027, with production scheduled for northern-hemisphere spring.
BMW has unveiled the iX3 M60 xDrive, an M Performance range-topper that pairs electric power with revised suspension and a rear M Sport differential.
Yellow headlights inspired by BMW's M Hybrid V8 race car give the new derivative a distinctive detail up front.
Provisional performance and range

BMW says all technical figures remain provisional. With one electric motor on each axle, the M60 has quoted outputs of 450kW and 875Nm, a 0–100km/h time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 240km/h. Its battery has a stated usable capacity of 108.7kWh, with WLTP range of up to 754km.
Charging uses an 800V architecture, with a provisional DC maximum of 400kW. BMW claims up to 340km of range can be added in ten minutes under suitable conditions at maximum charging power. Standard AC charging is rated at 22kW.
Chassis, lighting and cabin
The chassis specification includes adaptive M suspension with electronically controlled dampers, variable-ratio steering and an electronically controlled rear M Sport differential as standard. BMW has also tuned the springs, dampers and bracing for the M60.
Standard wheels measure 21 inches, with options up to 22 inches. The M Yellow Lights take their colour cue from BMW's endurance racer, although their use for low-beam illumination depends on the market.

Inside, a 17.9-inch display sits alongside M Sport seats with a massage function. The M steering wheel carries Boost and M Mode buttons.

The announced specification is based on the German market. Orders there open at the end of January 2027, ahead of production at BMW's Debrecen plant in Hungary during northern-hemisphere spring 2027. BMW's release does not confirm New Zealand pricing or arrival timing.
