Food and wine destination Ayrburn, near Arrowtown in Central Otago, is hosting a new classic-car event this weekend.
Starting this Friday (the 21st), the inaugural Ayrburn Classic will run until Sunday 23rd, across the Otago Anniversary Weekend.

The organisers say it will "showcase both the exceptional craftsmanship of New Zealand’s automotive industry, and the latest offerings from globally recognised luxury marques".
The event is set across three days, the first being exclusive to entrants, judges and invited guests. The centrepiece is Showcase on the Dell, where the best cars on show will complete a parade lap before being presented on stage, with the owner interviewed by the MC.

Beyond cars, there are live music performances and DJ sets throughout the weekend, with dining and wine tastings from Ayrburn’s restaurants, bars, and food trucks.
Headlining the entertainment is official friend-of-DRIVEN Car Guide, singer-songwriter Miranda Easten, known for her heartfelt country music and as the host of the Southern Cross Country Workday radio show.
Beyond her musical talents, Miranda is also a passionate car enthusiast and proud owner of an original DeLorean.

Exclusive VIP spaces and functions will cater to those looking for a "premium experience", while lawn games, displays, and even a best-dressed competition broaden the appeal.
The organisers says the event draws inspiration from international motoring events in the UK and US. Tickets range from $50 for a Day Pass to $300 for the VIP Island Day Pass.
